I wanted to speak to all our customers, regarding the Coronavirus outbreak and how we here at CycleRecycle are managing ourselves and our stores during this difficult time.
Firstly, I would like you to know that we are taking this outbreak extremely seriously.
Our staff have been informed of the symptoms to look out for, and I have instructed them to self isolate for 7 – 14 days depending on the situation they find themselves in. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
I have taken advice from the NHS website for this, and of course if their advice changes, we will follow their advice accordingly.
I have cancelled any sessions where my staff are together to avoid us possibly infecting each other (staff training and staff meals out). We communicate effectively via our online platform and our shift patterns mean we never meet during work hours.
I have also advised my staff to avoid keeping customers in the shop for longer than necessary, and to try to keep a safe distance from our customers at all times.
I have asked my staff to try to do contactless card payments where possible, and to minimize cash payments.
My staff are regularly cleaning our Cash registers, card machines, door handles and all surfaces in both our stores with Antibacterial surface cleaner. and if needs be will wipe down any purchases you make with antibacterial cleanser.
Myself and my staff will be wearing protective rubber gloves whilst at work.
We are aware that our customers need their bikes for transport to and from work, for school runs or to do shopping.
To assist with customers who need their bicycles repaired or serviced who do not want to come into our shop, we are offering a free of charge collection & delivery service to assist at this difficult time.
Simply call 01502 741155 for our Kesingland shop
or 01502 217626 for our Beccles shop
and we will arrange a suitable time for a free of charge collection.
I would ask that if you are coming to one of our shops, to be sensible.
If you see other customers in our shop, please wait outside while we serve them and allow them to leave.
Please dont come in in large groups, our shops are not big and we dont want to get too close to you and vice verser
If you have any symptoms at all please dont come in. Give us a call and we can arrange an alternate solution.
If you can avoid paying with cash, that would help.
I ultimately want to reassure you that I take my duty of care to my staff, and our customers very seriously, and appreciate your assistance during this difficult time
